The Climate Project Teams Up with Marc Jacobs for Holiday Promotion

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 19, 2009 -- The Climate Project, Al Gore’s climate change leadership program, today announced a global partnership with American fashion designer Marc Jacobs for this holiday season. Marc Jacobs stores worldwide will feature a climate themed t-shirt, with 100% of net proceeds going to The Climate Project (TCP). Beyond fundraising for TCP, the promotion draws attention to the Arctic, where the harmful effects of climate change are already felt by northern species like polar bears.

“We are grateful to Marc Jacobs for lending their creativity and energy to our cause,” said Jenny Clad, Executive Director of The Climate Project. “Our mission at The Climate Project is to educate the public about climate change, this generous donation will both raise funds and help raise awareness.”

This collaboration marks the second occasion TCP has partnered with Marc Jacobs. In 2007, t-shirts and tote bags were designed and sold by Marc Jacobs to benefit TCP. For this campaign, the t-shirt features a polar bear. It will retail for $28 and be available now until February.
