Western Creamery Precautionary Class 2 Cream Cheese Recall Update

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 4, 2009) - Western Creamery has identified that cream cheese from the original precautionary recall announced on December 2, 2009 was also distributed to retail stores in bulk. That product is also being removed from shelves as part of this precautionary recall.

Both recalls are class 2 recalls which, according to the CFIA, indicate the chance of any serious health problems is low in healthy populations. There have been no reported illnesses.
