the latest iPhone game iTankster - Update from the developer

iTankster Game Developer Inserts Advertisement into Paid Version

(1888PressRelease) - ROSENBERG, Texas - Within just hours of being available on Apple’s App Store the new iTankster game for the iPhone and iPod touch had been released on websites by pirates for free download and installation on Jailbroken devices. In order to combat this rampant piracy the developer decided to release the game with a single static advertisement from a sponsor which is displayed in the menu screen.

The developers of the game originally planned on releasing iTankster at an introductory price of just $0.99 ad-free and believed that since it was priced so low users would purchase it without resorting to piracy. However, they discovered during the development of the game, that other applications were pirated regardless of how low they were priced. Upon further research, it showed that in some instances the number of people installing an application or game illegally far outnumbered the legally purchased version of the same.

Piracy of the game would have impacted the revenue projection and recovery of development costs for the developer drastically; as a result they were compelled to tie up with a sponsor to recover some of the expenses. This decision was taken by the developers as they felt it would be better than increasing the price of the game and risk deterring users from making legal purchases.

iTankster has a single advertisement from the sponsor in the menu screen of the game, featuring in both the legally paid as well as the resulting pirated versions. This will ensure that even the pirates will see an advertisement. The developer is hopeful that the pirates will support the game by either clicking on the sponsor advertisement or by paying for the game later. While placing of an advertisement is bound to cause a controversy among some users who feel that if they paid for an application it should be advertisement free, the vast majority understand that in today’s world with rampant piracy developers have to look at alternative means to earn revenue for recovering the cost of development.

Obama’s Speech on Afghanistan to Envision Exit - NYtimes

WASHINGTON — President Obama plans to lay out a time frame for winding down the American involvement in the war in Afghanistan when he announces his decision this week to send more forces, senior administration officials said Sunday.

Although the speech was still in draft form, the officials said the president wanted to use the address at the United States Military Academy at West Point on Tuesday night not only to announce the immediate order to deploy roughly 30,000 more troops, but also to convey how he intends to turn the fight over to the Kabul government.

“It’s accurate to say that he will be more explicit about both goals and time frame than has been the case before and than has been part of the public discussion,” said a senior official, who requested anonymity to discuss the speech before it is delivered. “He wants to give a clear sense of both the time frame for action and how the war will eventually wind down.”

The officials would not disclose the time frame. But they said it would not be tied to particular conditions on the ground nor would it be as firm as the current schedule for withdrawing troops in Iraq, where Mr. Obama has committed to withdrawing most combat units by August and all forces by the end of 2011.

Secret Service breakdown blamed for White House gate-crashing

(LATimes) 'Our procedure wasn't followed' at one security checkpoint at the gala, an agency spokesman says. The couple who attended uninvited had been auditioning earlier for a reality TV show.

Reporting from Washington - The Secret Service has launched a "comprehensive investigation" of its security measures after two aspiring reality-TV stars crashed President Obama's state dinner at the White House on Tuesday night.

Tareq and Michaele Salahi, who have been auditioning to appear on the Bravo reality show "Real Housewives of D.C.," strolled into the dinner honoring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and mingled with the power people of Washington -- even though they weren't on the invitation list.

More than a dozen photos were posted on Facebook showing the Salahis with various luminaries, including Vice President Joe Biden, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and "CBS Evening News" anchor Katie Couric.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said initial results of the investigation showed that "our procedure wasn't followed" at one security checkpoint, allowing the uninvited guests to enter.

An administration official said the gate-crashing was apparently a breakdown in Secret Service screening and not the work of the White House social office.

Washington Post - In his slow decision-making, Obama goes with head, not gut

President Obama meets with members of his administration in the Situation Room. The president has been criticized for taking a long time to decide on a strategy for the war in Afghanistan.

President George W. Bush once boasted, "I'm not a textbook player, I'm a gut player." The new tenant of the Oval Office takes a strikingly different approach. President Obama is almost defiantly deliberative, methodical and measured, even when critics accuse him of dithering. When describing his executive style, he goes into Spock mode, saying, "You've got to make decisions based on information and not emotions."

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI-UK) drops slightly for a second straight quarter, now 72.8 on a 100-point scale. The decline is a result of an overall loss of customer satisfaction in the financial services sector.

Revolutionary Design & Cheap rates of iHeater

A sharp rise in home heating bills is expected for the 2009-2010 winter season, as weather forecasters are predicting a particularly harsh winter for most of the Unites States. Below-average temperatures are expected for three-quarters of the country, with especially frigid conditions anticipated for the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes, Central Plains, and Middle Atlantic states.

To offset the skyrocketing cost of winter heating bills, many Americans have discovered the iHeater, the most technically advanced infrared heating system on the market. Made of state-of-the-art technology, the iHeater allows customers to save over 50% on their heating costs for the season, when compared to most regular heaters and conventional furnace systems. For less than $1 a day (or, the same amount of energy used if a coffee pot was left on all day), the iHeater will heat a 1000 square foot area efficiently and safely, without flames, fumes, or deadly carbon monoxide.

As the winter season approaches, many American families are discovering the advantages of using the iHeater in their homes to combat the winter weather.

Goldman, Buffett Establish $500 Million Small-Business Program

(Bloomberg) -- Goldman Sachs Group Inc., under fire in Washington for setting aside billions of dollars for bonuses a year after getting a taxpayer bailout, is joining Warren Buffett to provide assistance to 10,000 U.S. small businesses.

The $500 million charitable effort coincides with one of the Obama administration’s top economic priorities: spurring hiring at smaller companies. The initiative aims to provide assistance -- ranging from counseling to obtaining funding -- to 10,000 businesses. Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is the largest shareholder in New York-based Goldman Sachs.

Goldman Sachs, the most profitable securities firm in Wall Street history, is trying to dispel criticism from lawmakers and pundits who portray the company as the greedy face of a financial industry whose excessive risk-taking fueled the credit crisis. Unlike competitors that make home loans and provide small-business credit lines, more than 90 percent of Goldman Sachs’s pretax earnings this year came from trading and principal investments.

“Small businesses play a vital role in creating jobs and growth in America’s economy,” Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs’s 55-year-old chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement yesterday. “We are pleased to work with our partners in this initiative to support small business owners, particularly in those underserved communities.”

Local Author of New Book "Wise Words & Witty Expressions" Captures Expressions to Remember When Navigating Life's Ups & Downs

Local New Jersey author, Renee' Gatz announces the availability of her first book, "Wise Words & Witty Expressions." The book is a collection of profound, funny, and even sarcastic expressions that can help readers navigate life's ups and downs with wisdom, laughter and understanding.

The newly published book, "Wise Words & Witty Expressions" shares a collection of expressions that first-time author, Reneé Gatz heard repeatedly throughout her growing years from her parents. Gatz’s parents used the expressions captured in her book to help teach their children how to keep life in perspective, remind them what was important, and to laugh at foolishness so as not to take life too seriously.

In her early growing years, Gatz did not appreciate the power of the expressions her parents spoke but as she grew was amazed at how those expressions would come back to her to provide clarity, understanding or a laugh at just the right moment.

Deputy secretary of labor testifies before Senate subcommittee on paid sick leave for workers and families

WASHINGTON, /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Deputy Secretary of Labor Seth Harris today testified before the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Subcommittee on Children and Families regarding workplace flexibility and paid leave in the context of the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic. Harris expressed the administration's strong support for the Healthy Families Act as a way to provide workplace flexibilities and increased economic security.

"It's common sense and good business sense - workers should be able to stay home if they are ill," said Harris. "The Healthy Families Act offers a great opportunity to level the playing field for workers and gives them the ability to stay home if they are sick without fear of losing their jobs or being forced to work sick."

Nearly 40 percent of private sector workers do not receive paid sick leave, according to a recent survey by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In his testimony, Harris noted that our current system forces many sick workers to go to work and many working parents to send sick children to school. He said such a system poses a threat to public health, the nation's economic future and a social system that depends heavily on people caring for themselves and their family members.

Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis added: "The Department of Labor is committed to making 'good jobs for everyone' a reality. A critical part of achieving that vision is workplace flexibilities that ensure workers and their families are healthy and safe. The Healthy Families Act is a strong step toward that end."

Apple Becomes World's Most Profitable Handset Vendor in Q3 2009

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics, Apple became the world’s most profitable handset vendor in Q3 2009. Nokia slipped into second position, as margins have been hit hard by both the economic downturn and a stagnant presence in the United States.

Alex Spektor, Analyst at Strategy Analytics, said, “We estimate Apple’s operating profit for its iPhone handset division stood at $1.6 billion in the third quarter of 2009. Apple overtook Nokia for the first time, which recorded a lower $1.1 billion of operating profit. With strong volumes, high wholesale prices and tight cost controls, the PC vendor has successfully broken into the mobile phone market in just two years.”

Neil Mawston, Director of the Wireless Device Strategies service (WDS) at Strategy Analytics, added, “Nokia’s profit margin for its handset division has been shrinking during the 2009 global economic downturn. Strategy Analytics believes that the United States, where Nokia now trails Apple in marketshare, is the key to Nokia’s recovery in 2010. A successful fight on Apple’s high-profit home turf can simultaneously help to revitalize Nokia’s margins and to put a check on Apple’s surging growth.”

Korean naval ships clash at sea

A South Korean warship has exchanged fire with a North Korean naval vessel, reports from both countries say.

Officials in Seoul say the South Korean vessel opened fire when the Northern ship crossed a disputed sea border. The North Korean vessel then fired back.

North Korea insists its ship did not cross the border, and has demanded an apology, according to news agency KCNA.

The two navies have engaged in deadly exchanges twice along their western sea border in the past decade.

The incident comes days before US President Barack Obama visits Asia, with North Korea seeking direct talks on its nuclear programme.

Northern limit

In the North's version of events, a patrol boat was on a mission to confirm "an unidentified object" on the North's side of the border, and while it was sailing back, South Korean ships chased it and opened fire in a "grave armed provocation".

Late-season hurricane takes aim at US Gulf Coast

(Yahoo) NEW ORLEANS – Hurricane Ida, the first Atlantic hurricane to target the United States this year, plodded Sunday toward the Gulf Coast with 105 mph winds, bringing the threat of flooding and storm surges.

A hurricane warning extended more than 200 miles of coastline from Pascagoula, Miss., east to Indian Pass, Fla. Tropical storm warnings and hurricane watches are in effect across other areas of southeastern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, including New Orleans. Louisiana's governor declared a state of emergency.

Authorities said Ida could make landfall as early as Tuesday morning, although it was forecast to weaken by then. Officials and residents kept a close eye on the Category 2 hurricane as it approached, though there were no immediate plans for evacuations.

Sunday night, Ida was located 400 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River and moving north-northwest near 14 mph. The latest forecast from the National Hurricane Center shows Ida brushing near Louisiana and Mississippi, then making landfall near Alabama before continuing across north Florida.

Yet many residents took the forecast in stride.

"Even though we're telling everybody to be prepared, my gut tells me it probably won't be that bad," said Steve Arndt, director of Bay Point Marina Co. in Panama City, Fla.

Fort Hood suspect said methodical goodbyes

By MIKE BAKER and BRETT J. BLACKLEDGE, Associated Press Writers Mike Baker And Brett J. Blackledge, Associated Press Writers

FORT HOOD, Texas – As if going off to war, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan cleaned out his apartment, gave leftover frozen broccoli to one neighbor and called another to thank him for his friendship — common courtesies and routines of the departing soldier. Instead, authorities say, he went on the killing spree that left 13 people dead.

Investigators examined Hasan's computer, his home and his garbage Friday to learn what motivated the suspect, who lay in a coma, shot four times in the frantic bloodletting. Hospital officials said some of the wounded had extremely serious injuries and might not survive.

The 39-year-old Army psychiatrist emerged as a study in contradictions: a polite man who stewed with discontent, a counselor who needed to be counseled himself, a professional healer now suspected of cutting down the fellow soldiers he was sworn to help.

Relatives said he felt harassed because of his Muslim faith but did not embrace extremism. Others were not so sure. A recent classmate said Hasan once gave a jarring presentation to students in which he argued the war on terrorism was a war against Islam, and "made himself a lightning rod for things" when he felt his religious beliefs were challenged.

Investigators were trying to piece together how and why Hasan allegedly gunned down his comrades in the worst case of violence on a military base in the U.S. The rampage unfolded at a center where some 300 unarmed soldiers were lined up for vaccines and eye tests.

Soldiers reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" — an Arabic phrase for "God is great!" — before opening fire Thursday, said Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, the post commander. He said officials had not confirmed Hasan made the comment.

Hasan's family said in a statement Friday that his alleged actions were deplorable and don't reflect how the family was reared.

"Our family is filled with grief for the victims and their families involved in yesterday's tragedy," said Nader Hasan, a cousin who lives in northern Virginia. "We are mortified with what has unfolded and there is no justification, whatsoever, for what happened. We are all asking why this happened, and the answer is that we simply do not know."

The 30 wounded were dispersed among hospitals in central Texas. W. Roy Smythe, chairman of surgery at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, said several patients were still at "significant risk" of losing their lives. Army briefers told lawmakers in Washington eight other people were treated at a hospital for stress and trauma.

At a news conference late Friday, Army Col. John Rossi, deputy commander at Fort Hood, said 23 people remained hospitalized, about half still in intensive care. He praised the soldiers' quick actions during and after the shooting barrage, which he said saved lives.

Rossi said that the assailant fired more than 100 rounds and that his weapons were not military arms, but "privately owned weapons ... purchased locally." Law enforcement sources in Washington, speaking on condition of anonymity, said records indicate Hasan in recent months bought the FN 5.7 pistol at a store called "Guns Galore" in Killeen, Texas.

The dead included a pregnant woman who was preparing to return home, a man who quit a furniture company job to join the military about a year ago, a newlywed who had served in Iraq and a woman who had vowed to take on Osama bin Laden after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

In a vigil Friday night, husbands wrapped their arms around their wives, babies cried and old men in wheelchairs bowed their heads as several hundred people gathered at a stadium on the sprawling Army post, the country's largest. It was the first gathering of the community since the killings.

"Remember to keep breathing ... keep going," Chaplain Douglas Carver told the crowd, many wearing fatigues and black berets.

Earlier, 13 flag-draped coffins departed for Dover Air Force Base and the military's mortuary based in Delaware, Rossi said. Officials said the result of autopsies on the victims will be made available to the appropriate federal and military agencies that are probing Thursday's shooting. They will determine if any of the victims might have been hit by friendly fire, something Rossi all but dismissed.

Hasan, meanwhile, was transferred Friday to the Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. Rossi gave no indication of his condition except to say he was "not able to converse."

Army Chief of Staff George Casey said he asked bases around the country to assess their security. He also said he was worried about a backlash against the thousands of Muslim soldiers serving dutifully in uniform.

Hasan was due to be deployed to Afghanistan to help soldiers with combat stress, a task he'd done stateside with returning soldiers, the Army said. Army spokeswoman Col. Cathy Abbott was uncertain when Hasan was to leave but he was in the preparation stage of deployment, which can take months.

In any event, the major was saying goodbyes and dispensing belongings to neighbors.

Jose Padilla, the owner of Hasan's apartment complex, said Hasan gave him notice two weeks ago that he was moving out this week.

Earlier this week, Hasan asked Padilla his native language. When Padilla said it was Spanish, Hasan immediately went up to his apartment to get him a Spanish-language Quran. Padilla said Hasan also refused to reclaim his deposit and last month's rent, surrendering $400 that the major said should go to someone who needed it.

Users of the products say that they are special in the spiritual industry because they are made authentically, come ready to use and include detailed instructions for usage. The Miaracle Utopia also says that each product can be easily used by both spiritual newbies and those with more experience. We interviewed several of the company's customers and were very impressed with their examples of how helpful and powerful the products seem to be.

The first person we talked to was Madeline Barrett of Columbus, GA who stated that she hadn't seen products this good since her personal root doctor had passed on a few years ago. Ms. Barrett said that she loved the products because they worked and they smelled great too. She also like the fact that they could be personalized (free of charge) for her own particular situation so they worked stronger than those that are mass produced. We asked her did she believe it was the products or was it her prayers that worked and she believed that it was a little of both. She thought the products gave a prayers a boost because they were made in the traditional ways and having another person's "prayers for your succes" are always benefitcial when doing spiritual workings.

Next, we spoke with Jim Vaughn of Indainapolis, IN who was so pleased with the products that placed an order every two weeks so he could keep his candles burning and his luck going. Jim claims that he is a gambler and that the Miracle Utopia candles and oils are what keep him with his lucky streak. We were amazed to find out that Jim actually does live off his gambling winnings. We asked him if he thought the products were really responsible for his gambling successes and he said, "All I know is that when I use them I win more, so why mess with a perfect system."

The last person we spoke with was Patricia Santos of Ft. Lauderdale, FL who says her sister in law introduced her to Miracle Utopia magical products. "I never beleived in such products. Yes, I would burn a candle for prayer from time to time, but I never beleived in buying all the oils and other items. My sister in law, Tricia, told me to try you oils when I was going through a love problem. That oil seemed to help out so much that I decided to order the full ritual!" Patricia says she seemed to instantly be able to see results and that her love matter improved and she can only attribute it to the products.

Major Breakthrough in Respirators and Medical Mask Technology

If you or your loved ones rely on a medical mask or respirator for protection from occupational hazards, infectious diseases, or any other reason, this product could save your life. It has been medically tested and proven safe and remarkably effective. Find out why Breathe Safely, LLC has made the biggest breakthrough in respirators and masks since their conception.

(1888PressRelease) - Hometown America protecting itself from the swine flue (H1N1) and other airborn viruses. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) both recommend the use of a respirator mask that is NIOSH rated N95 or higher be worn as minimum protection for protection against swine flu (H1N1). The Institue of Medicine states if using a respirator use an airtight seal.

BreatheSafely.com sells universal respirator and mask seal in adult and children sizes and a mask and seal combination for adults and children. The SecureGaurd Procedure mask for adult and children come in a ten pack with the seal.

The Secure Gaurd mask is made by Cardinal Health and the respirator/mask seal is made exclusively by Breathe Safely, LLC. When using the seal you can rest assured no harmful viruses are getting through the mask. Leakage is a nonfactor with using a Breathe Safely seal. The seal is universal. It works on N95 respirators, 3M brands, masks, surgical/procedure masks, and many more. For the highest level of protection agains the swine flu and bird flu using a Breathe Safely seal adds almost 300% protection on average.

If you wear a respirator you are looking for the most protection available. This is it. Buy a seal or a mask/seal combo for you and your children, before it is too late. In reference to the mandate from the CDC regarding protection against the potential bird flu or swine flu (H1N1) pandemic, the breathe safely seal in addition to a mask is the new preference as a first line of defense.

Let's face it, a nose piece and loops are not an adequate method for sealing a respirator to a face. If there is any leakage the purpose of wearing such a device is defeated. Using a universal seal is quick, cost effective, and easy. The seal will stop all leakage. Everything must then pass through the filtration material of the mask, as it is intended to do.

Hot Pepper Skin Spray Can Stop Topical Itching Without Any Burn

More than 30 million Americans suffer from chronic itching related to a variety of skin and scalp conditions. For people with chronic skin and scalp problems, itching creates a cycle that becomes both a cause and a symptom. The more people itch, the more they scratch and the worse their conditions become. Studies show that capsaicin, a natural hot pepper extract can relieve itching fast, and now there's a new line of body sprays that deliver capsaicin itch relief without any burn.

Schenectady, NY (PRWEB) - It’s estimated that more than 30 million Americans suffer from chronic itching related to a variety of skin and scalp conditions including: dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, dandruff and dry skin. For people with chronic skin and scalp problems, itching creates a cycle that becomes both a cause and a symptom. The more people itch, the more they scratch and the worse their conditions become.

Many studies show that Capsaicin, a natural extract from hot peppers, can relieve topical itching and irritation by desensitizing nerve fibers and receptors within the epidermis. Although most studies have been done with high strength capsaicin creams designed for pain relief, a new line of products from Greensations delivers low doses of capsaicin in a fine mist without the burning sensation associated with creams. Since the dose is small and the particles are atomized into tiny molecules, these capsaicin skin sprays create instant topical absorption without uncomfortable side effects.

“Our capsaicin body sprays create super absorption to promote healthy pores and follicles. By delivering capsaicin in an atomized spray, we only need tiny doses to relieve itching and irritation fast. There’s no uncomfortable burning with our body sprays like there is with the more potent capsaicin creams. Our sprays stop any itch in under a minute - Guaranteed,” says Niles Porter, Director of Sales for Greensations.

Greensations body sprays also contain caffeine, which has been shown to kill abnormal skin cells while promoting healthy new cell growth. Although caffeine is not good for the skin when consumed orally in large doses, the positive results from topical application are undisputed. Both caffeine and capsaicin have been shown to increase blood flow and absorption when applied topically, and these new skin sprays are the first products to combine both ingredients.

The ad features members of our Greatest Generation begging Congress not to cut Medicare to pay for health care reform. The 30 second TV ad begins running nationally on cable today. See the ad at www.60plus.org.

The phone calls target Members of the House of Representatives and urge concerned citizens to call their Member and urge them not to cut Medicare.

Gemalto Instant Issuance Solution Boosts Microbanking Market in Indonesia

AMSTERDAM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gemalto (Euronext NL0000400653 GTO), the world leader in digital security, today announced it will deploy its Dexxis Instant Issuance solution in Indonesia to enable on-the-spot delivery of secure microprocessor–based banking cards. Gemalto is working with local partner SAI (Smart Aplikasi Indonesia), an affiliate of leading IT Network solutions provider Alita.

The challenge in Indonesia is how to cost-effectively reach a population of consumers with microbanking services when 90 percent are unbanked and dispersed among 17,500 islands. Gemalto’s solution is decentralized instant card issuance – in-person, in-branch, and in a matter of minutes. The Dexxis solution offer includes EMV smart cards, servers, software, printers, and training to deploy the solution over a secure TCP/IP trusted network in the banking and retail environment.

By using fingerprint biometric authentication from the software inside the chip, the smart cards provide a higher level of security to the cardholder and the issuer. The biometric also simplifies use of the card by eliminating the need to remember the PIN code, which can be a challenge for consumers new to electronic banking. The card can store various types of secure banking services such as an e-purse, prepaid data, deposit remittances, savings and loans, as well as financial and health insurance. Furthermore, the card serves as an electronic statement, logging up to 150 transactions, to help cardholders and financial institutions keep track of account activity with greater ease and eliminating the need for paper statements.

Excess & Drama At All Time High

Release information for Excess Baggage, the new fictional romantic thriller by Sean Gardner.
(1888PressRelease) - Fortunately for readers, author Sean C. Gardner’s new novel, Excess Baggage, is helping keep it right where they want it— in their entertainment, instead of their everyday lives. With one of the most unique covers in fiction today, the book is creating quite a buzz among book clubs.

While the cover’s juggling woman alludes to how caregivers assume the issues of the people in their lives, the story takes this analogy to the next step, illustrating the hazards of carrying the past forward. Excess Baggage is the tale of two love stories. In one, a lawyer falls in love with a witness during a high profile trial. The opposing side vows to win at all costs, including murder. In the other, an advertising director and a record label exec fall in love, but their relationship is interrupted by the appearance of a mysterious (and dangerous) person from the past. Each of these stories is linked by the guys, who are long-term friends and share a common childhood tragedy. Before the tale ends, the quartet must re-examine their priorities in order to save their loves & their lives.

Gardner takes readers on a thrill ride with several plot twists and a surprise ending. By the conclusion of the book, readers will not want their “relationship” with these characters to end. Books retail for $14.95.

Hotel Rescue - Ailing Hotels

Hotel Rescue™ Begins Assisting Hoteliers With Ailing Hotels

Dr. Diana Driscoll, CEO of Ridgeline Hospitality, LLC begins “Hotel Rescue”.

Ridgeline Hospitality, LLC is pleased to announce that their President and CEO, Dr. Diana Driscoll, LEED AP has just begun helping other hoteliers in need with “Hotel Rescue™”.

Dr. Driscoll, LEED AP designed Hotel Rescue™ to assist hoteliers in immediate cash flow shortages, and 'green' initiatives to lower operating costs. Hotel Rescue™ combines Dr. Driscoll’s knowledge of ‘going green’ with the expertise of others in the fields of tax incentives, tax strategies, government loan programs, government bond programs and many other strategies designed to help hotels survive through these difficult times.

“I learned so much while researching for my own hotels. Sharing this knowledge is the right thing to do,” said Dr. Driscoll. “Some hotels would like to be more “green” and lower their operating costs, but they don’t know where to begin, much less where to get the cash flow to pay for these changes. My first priority is to stop the hemorrhaging and increase their cash flow wherever possible. And then if they are interested, we can look at gradually incorporating “green, sustainable” initiatives to help them down the road. This has been a very difficult time for many hoteliers, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to reach out to them and find some financial help that they may not be aware of. It is almost a full-time job to keep up with all of the incentives and changes in governmental programs!”
